I’ve read CodingHorror and Joel On Software for a while now, but didn’t try their new project StackOverflow.

They’ve done a fantastic job! There’s definitely a .Net slant to it (which I’m admittedly not that familiar), but so far there’s been really high quality in the questions and answers. One thing that I’m particularly surprised by is the quality of the writing; I’ve found the writing on many forums to be… lacking.

The point/badge system seems really well thought-out; it’s not the dominant feature of the site, but provides enough inspiration to explore and discover the things that you can provide for the community.

All in all, they’ve managed to make Q&A fun!  Good job guys!
